Computer equipment recycling

When computer equipment reaches the end of it’s productive life and you decide to retire it, what’s the best way? From privacy issues to environmental concerns, it can become a serious problem.

The worst thing that you can do is just toss it in the garbage. To begin with, there are laws and regulations that make this illegal! Secondly, with data still on the hard drive, your privacy is at risk, and with the many hazardous materials in a computer, the environment is at risk.

Easy For You Computer Servicing can make this a simple task by offering the following free services:

  • First, you turn the computer over to our business and we take responsibility for it at that point.
  • Hard drives are wiped clean of data by using at least two formatting procedures, and if requested by you, the drives can even be mechanically destroyed.
  • If any systems still have significant value, we may be able to resell them and share the profits with you.
  • All equipment that is deemed to be obsolete is taken to the Solid Waste Authority for recycling and reclamation.
  • Donations are a possibility as well, but most organizations have minimum hardware requirements and/or minimum age requirements that need to be met before they will accept equipment.
